Hardware Design Engineer |
Reports to:
Hardware Design Manger
Position Concept:
Responsible for designing and developing electronic products/systems, applying approved technologies, formulating, testing and evaluating these designs according to quality and international industrial standards in addition to delivering full documented designs for production.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research and study to design and develop high reliable electronic devices/systems and products.
- Participate in the different design phases including:
- Negotiating product requirements & presenting initial brief concept.
- Developing the project specifications with other concerned departments.
- Designing the actual product.
- Improving and modifying the design.
- Applying verification & validation performance tests.
- Ensuring adaptability of new products with older devices, reliability and conformity to the operating environments.
- Develop and execute test procedures required in the different stages of production, installations and maintenance for each product.
- Provide all engineering technical drawings and documentations as part of the design procedure deliverables.
- Conform to the quality standards and company design rules. Carry out tests and report results to the direct manager on regular basis to ensure that the quality of the design is met according to approved techniques and in timely manner.
- Participate in the evaluation of the existing systems according to the development plan then provide the design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or add new features.
- Generate new ideas for new products or developments for existing systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Job Specifications:
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Electronics/Computer.
- Up to 3 years experience in electronics design [Analog & Digital] and technical support.
Job Competencies & Technical Skills:
- Familiar with PIC, AVR & ATMEL Microcontrollers architecture.
- Knowledge of any of the following programming languages: VB, Delphi, VC++, Java … etc.
- Familiar with PCB, Analog and Digital circuit design.
- Knowledge of MS Access DB, HTML and SQL.
- Familiar with Design & Simulation Software: Protel, OrCad, MultiSim, MicroLab … etc
- Fluency in English.
