Hardware Design Section Head
Responsible to provide the prototype required as part of the design process stages and coordinate the field testing for all the new products. Also provide layout, repair and modify electronic circuit boards (PCBs) by applying principles and theories of electronics and assembly techniques. Participate in the design activities and the development added to the existing products.
1. Design & produce the PCB layouts by discussing the circuit diagrams & the layout concept needed with the design engineer. Draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of the electronic units, then draw the layout (bottom layer, components layer) using computer aided software and systems. Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, films and schematics to describe and illustrate all system details.
2. Discuss prototype and assembly procedures and problems with the design engineer, then assemble complete prototype model according to engineering documentations and drawings to examine and evaluate the new product practical production.
3. Communicate with all the teams inside the engineering for the prototype assembly and negotiate the obstacles of production and installations faced during the assembly of the prototype or the pilot series with the designers.
4. Recommend changes in installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance procedures.
5. Provide standard test apparatus or devises, test equipment and circuitry & assist in setting test procedures to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
6. Check functioning of newly installed equipment and structures (field test) to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions. May deliver specific trainings to the technical personnel in other departments.
7. Participate in the production of pilot samples and perform the necessary verification with the design teams.
8. Deliver the final design\products and necessary documentation to the internal customers on due time and ensure customer satisfaction is met.
